About Us

Dr. Karen BARCLAY
Founder and Creative Director
Intright is the ‘labour of love’ of Dr. Karen BARCLAY. Karen was the lead author of the 2019 Colonoscopic Surveillance after Polypectomy Guidelines, and a member of the working party for both the full 2019 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Surveillance Colonoscopy and 2017 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Prevention, Early Detection and Management of Colorectal Cancer. She was on the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare working party for the recently published Colonoscopy Clinical Care Standards and the Victorian Department of Health Colonoscopy Categorisation guidelines and referral criteria, the latter stemming from her own original ideas. Karen also developed the widely distributed algorithms for adenoma surveillance, colorectal cancer surveillance and screening on the basis of family history based on the (now rescinded) 2005 guidelines.
As a proven leader committed to quality, safety and standards in healthcare, Karen has embarked on this latest venture as an attempt to provide a single interactive platform for all the works above (and more), enabling a user-friendly interface to engage patients in their own healthcare and clinicians in the use of evidence-based practice.
